Before taking measurements be sure that the measuring tape is even and straight around the hips. This measurement should usually be done in front of a mirror so you can be sure the measuring tape goes straight all around.
Find your favorite and best-fitting jeans and lay them straight on the ground. Measure from the crotch seam to the seam at the end of the pants, round to the nearest inch to get your inseam.
